Studying at Federico II means attending the oldest State University in Europe. It was founded in 1224 and today welcomes more than 77,000 students, making it one of the biggest universities in Italy. Over the years the university has grown around the city, its venues are spread throughout Naples allowing students to fully experience the richness of the cultural environment around them.

The University is part of the National Laboratory on Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems (CINI-AIIS) and is also a partner of several important Academies, such as those developed by the companies Apple (Apple Developer Academy), Cisco (Cisco Academy), Deloitte (Digita Academy), Ferrovie Dello Stato Italiane (FS Mobility Academy), Tecne (Smart Infrastructures Academy), KPMG Advisory, DXC Technology, Exprivia (CoreAcademy). These Academies aim to attract students from a wide range of backgrounds to begin training in computer science, design, business, Internet of things, Cyber security, Artificial Intelligence, network technologies, consulting, and intermodal transport systems.

Building relationships both nationally and internationally are a high priority of the University Federico II, which has a relationship with more than 250 partner universities and is part of the AURORA Universities Network. This allows students to access a wide variety of study programs abroad and to internationalize their education. With its “Federica Web Learning” Center, it is the leader in Europe for open access multimedia education.
