About the Speaker:
Sofia Yfantidou is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow at the Innovative Training Network “Real-time Analytics for the Internet of Sports” (RAIS) and a Doctoral Candidate at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece. She has previously worked with industry leaders such as Siemens Mobility and Nokia Bell Labs, focusing on mobile and wearable computing and human-centred machine learning. Sofia is known for her research on defining, quantifying, and mitigating biases in ubiquitous data and models for health and well-being.
A Heidelberg Laureate Forum alumna and a Grace Hopper scholar, Sofia holds a European Joint Master’s Degree in “Big Data Management and Analytics” from leading European universities.
