As introduction
- Introduce decision support systems. Use the example of the medical decision support systems, as these are the standard example, plus the handout is about them
- Introduce the idea of a DSS that the Medical Doctor is *mandated* to consult. Have a discussion about this.
After an initial round of discussion, introduce three problems the paper discusses:
- Conditions of Trustworthyness - you can reference the EU HLEG recommendation
- Explainability and Transparency (here foreshadow the material from module C)
- Shared Agency
- Conclusion
Extra topics if time allows:
- Automation bias for an MD
